Today, I am going to start another interesting thread for you. It's all about structures, we will discuss different types of structures and learn how to frame our sentences with them ....

Our First Structure is ...

Had better


1. Had better refers to the immediate future.

ہم اس کا استعمال کرتے ہیں فوری مستقبل کو ظاھر کرنے ک لیے



2. It is followed by an infinitive without to.

کے (to) کے بعد اپنے ورب کو بغعیر کسی (had better) ھم



3. It is a strong advice.

یہ سخت نصیحت کو ظاہر کرتا ہے


4. We use it to tell people what to do.


ہم اسے استعمال کرتے ہیں لوگوں کو بتانے کے لیے کہ وہ کیا کریں


Examples :


آپ کے لیے بہتر ہے ڈاکٹر سے رجوع کریں


You had better consult a doctor


تمہارے لیے بہتر ہے معافی مانگو-

You had better apologize

ہمارے لیے بہتر ہے جلدی کریں - ہم پہلے ہی لیٹ ہیں-

For making negatives :

We normally make the negative with


had better not + infinitive.

آپ کے لیئے بہتر ہے کہ ڈاکٹر سے رجوع نہ کریں

یا

آپ کے لیئے بہتر ہوگا کہ ڈاکٹر سے رجوع نہ کریں

You had better not consult the doctor ....

You had better not tell him.

It's correct but you won't hear it.

People don't say the 'had' part, they will say:


You better consult a doctor

You better apologize

You better not consult the doctor ....

You better not tell him.
