The Sindh High Court has suspended the ban imposed by the PCB on Pakistani players in the ICL.The court ruling is likely to allow the 19 players, including Mohammad Yousuf, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Abdul Razzaq, to feature in domestic cricket in Pakistan.

The court has summoned PCB officials for its next hearing on February 10.
The judgment comes as a boost for the players, who had recently restarted the legal process to fight the bans imposed on them from playing domestic and international cricket. A letter has been sent by the legal firm of retired judge Fakhruddin G Ebrahim to the PCB on behalf of the players.

The PCB was expected to take up the matter at the ICC board meeting on January 31 and February 1. At the meeting, however, the ICC deferred making a decision on the ICL's application for recognition, pending discussions between representatives of the BCCI, ICL and the ICC.

The new PCB administration, which took charge in October 2008, has indicated its keenness on lifting the ban on the players. Ijaz Butt, the chairman, had recently urged the ICC to change its stance on the league, and said the PCB had banned the players under ICC rules.
