The big news from Lotus for 2008 is a supercharger for the Elise and a horsepower increase – up to 240 – for the Exige S and standard airbags across the entire Lotus model range. New features also include an upgraded instrument package and alarm/immobilizer system. Elise features a new rear spoiler, new alloy wheels and a 1.8-liter, 220 horsepower 4-cylinder engine that propels this feather-weight car (1987 pounds) from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
