Punjab provincial minister Raja Ishtiaq Sarwar has said that metro bus service would help reduce traffic congestion being faced by people travelling from Rawalpindi to Islamabad. He said that Punjab government had fulfilled the promise made with local people during the election campaign of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz.

Talking to Pakistan Television, he said that people belonging to all segment of society would utilize the service in a befitting manner. He said that metro bus service would be economical and time saving. He said that a huge amount was being spent on gigantic project to facilitate the people.

The Minister said the people of twin cities had been waiting better transport facilities since long. He said that metro bus service would resolve the problem of the masses.

Replying to a question, he said that metro bus service project would be completed by the end of this year.

Ishtiaq Sarwar said that government was making all out efforts to provide relief to masses and for this, a huge amount is being spent on better communication services.

President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Dr Shumail Dawood said that metro bus service would be beneficial for the traders community.

He said that customers of the traders’ community were facing great difficulty due to lack of bus service. He said that step of the present government would increase business activity between the twin cities.
