Salam !

1st May ! Labour's Day !
O yeah it's a holiday. All public private and government institutes are closed today. We are happy because we have a holiday and we planned a lot for it. What we will do ? Many hangout plans with friends and family.
But the labours for whom this day is being celebrated don't have any holiday. They have to work today as well because if they won't work today they will have nothing to bring something to their home for their family. They have to work throughout the year they don't have any weekend or any holiday.
Previous week I heard a sad news 10 labours died during construction in KSA. Out of ten labours 8 were Pakistanis. Last month 20 labours were brutally killed in Quetta. Did our government do anything for them? No they didn't do anything because who were they ? Just common poor people.
Labours are said to be back bone of a country's economy. Without them nothing is possible. In construction, in factories everything is possible only because of labours. But what we are doing for them ? Do anyone of us think about labours today or the reason behind this holiday. No ! No one did that.
In Europe labour's Law is much authentic and working for labours. According to those laws company should pay a specific amount to labours and the time period of work is also specified and labours are also granted with pension in government institutions as well In private institutions. All company's must follow those laws. But here in Pakistan we have a labour law but that isn't working properly. Labours are not paid according to their work. Pension is not granted to them if they are working in private sector.
In our country their should be a labour union that work for labour's rights. They should be treated humanly and in private sector labours must have all rights like government sector.
Regards!
