Have you heard a story ”The Elephant Rope” ?
Once a man, passing by a countryside , stopped to see a group of elephants who were standing in the open fields, held by only a small rope tied with their legs. He got confused by the fact that these mighty creatures can break away from these tiny ropes at any time but for some reasons, they don’t. Confused that what had stopped them from breaking away from these shackles, he reached out the trainer of the elephants. The trainer smiled and said :
”Well, when they are young, we use this small rope to tie them and at that age, this rope is strong enough to held them and keep them down. In beginning , they try to break away, but after many fail attempts , they give up. When they grow up, they become strong enough to get rid of these ropes, but they don’t because they are conditioned to believe that they can’t break away. They have been ”convinced” that these small ropes can still hold them so the don’t try to break free.”

Many of us are suffering from ”The Elephant Rope Syndrome”. Like the elephants, we are tied with ropes of outdated beliefs & false assumptions. We can break away from those shallow beliefs but we don't because we are conditioned to believe that we can't.
This mental conditioning is so strong that it has overpowered not only our individual decision making ability but has paralyzed the collective conscious of our nation. We have become a herd of elephants who are tied with small ropes of false assumptions & fake beliefs. We can break away, we can break free but don’t because we are suffering from ”The Elephant Rope Syndrome”.
Each one of us has a lot of passion, strength & potential in us but tied with a rope and that rope blinds us to see the potential in us. Just like the elephants live their whole life in slavery believing that they can’t break away, we too spend life under the false assumptions that we ”cant do” .

It's possible that you too may be tied with any ”elephant rope” in your life – be it personal or professional ? De-condition yourself , break free from the wrong beliefs , defeat the ”fearful” man inside you, come out of your comfort zone and explore the world that is made for you.
