Volvo’s V50 sportswagon has been given a comprehensive update for 2008 with revised exterior and interior styling, new safety features and enhanced storage and versatility. Evolutionary changes include slimmer taillights equipped with LED brake lights, restyled bumper and bright tailgate molding. Engine choices include a standard, 168 horsepower 5-cylinder and a turbocharged version that puts out 227 horsepower. Both are mated to a 5-speed manual/automatic transmission. Amenities include the 650-watt, 12-speaker Dynaudio Package and Volvo DVD navigation system with remote control.
