How do you keep bugs from getting inside your sensitive electronic equipment, without using toxic sprays and chemical insect repellents? Scientists think they have found the answer in a super slippery nanocoating.

The coating is composed of sprayed-on aluminum mist with minuscule bumps that a bug's finely bristled feet cannot get a grip on.

Bugs can cause irreparable damage to electronic devices by eating insulation, and the debris they leave behind can cause electrical malfunctions on exposed circuit boards.

I wonder, is that why my laptop just packed it in?
