Changing family name to that of husband

Many sisters in our community have taken the names of their husbands without realizing ​

that they should have kept their father’s name.​

Should they change their name back to the father’s name or is it allowed to keep the husband’s name?​

...oman changing her family name to that of her husband after she gets married.

This is haraam and is not allowed in sharee’ah, because ​

it is not permissible for anyone to claim to belong to anyone other than his or her father.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Call them (adopted sons) by (the names of)​

their fathers, that is more just with Allaah…” [al-Ahzaab 33:5].

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has cursed the one who claims ​

to belong to someone other than his father.” (Reported by Imaam Ahmad and others).

“Whoever knowingly claims to belong to anyone other than​

his father, Paradise will be denied him.” (Ahmad, al-Bukhaari, Muslim)​

Kyunk bohat se logon ko is baat ka shayad ilm na ho, kyunk aj kal ye bohat aam hai, aur shayad bht se log ye bhi sochte hain k aisa krna zaroori hai, infact agr ek married larki apne father ka name hi use karey to shayad bht se log ye bhi samjhen k is larki ki shadi hi nahin hue ......... Jabkeh Islam main aisa koi concept nahin, jaise hum ne bht si chezen west se adopt ki hain, usi tarah ye bhi unhi main shamil hai ...........
Ek aur interesting baat ye bhi hai, k last name ka basically maqsad ye hota hai k ap ko us person ki lineage ka pata chal sakey, k ye kis family se belong krta hai, aur shadi kr lene se kisi larki ki lineage change nahin ho jati .........
Aur agr dekha jaye to Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) ki kisi bhi wife na shadi k baad un ka naam apne naam k sath nahin lagaya, balkeh apne father ka naam hi use kiya, even agr un k father kafir thay tab bhi ............
