Debutant director Abhishek Sharma’s satirical film Tere Bin Laden, starring Praduman Singh as a comic version of Osama Bin Laden, is releasing on July 16. Sources say that the film is simultaneously being released in Pakistan but only as Tere Bin.
They have decided to drop the word Laden from the title for precautionary reasons.
Ali Zafar who is also distributing the film in Pakistan was unavailable for comment but Abhishek confirmed the release of the film in Pakistan.
About deleting the name Laden from the title, Abhishek added, “It was Ali’s call because in Pakistan the situation is sensitive. If any terrorists see the name Laden on the posters they might create trouble before the screening.”
